Electrospun nanofibers show great potential for their use in the filtration applications. In spite of the fact that filtration efficiency parameters of our nanofibrous materials still do not meet the criteria of the best commercial membranes for water treatment, the membrane functionalization as the next step of our research should lead to the increased efficiency of pathogen removal.
