Křivost střednice tlumícího kroužku je na koncích kroužku totožná s křivostí tlumeného tělesa, směrem ke středu délky kroužku stoupá/ klesá (vnější/vnitřní kroužek). Pomocí vhodné změny křivosti lze dosáhnout předepsaného rozložení tlaku a odpovídajícího tlumícího účinku.

The curvature of central line of damping ring varies in such way that it has on the ends of ring the same value as the surface of damped body, but it increases/decreases (outer/inner ring) towards the middle point of length of ring. By means of appropriate curvature variation, the prescribed distribution of pressure and corresponding damping effect can be reached.
