Heat coma temperatures (HCT) and supercooling points (SCP) were analyzed in four species of ocaenic sea skaters (genus Halobates). The SCPs were relatively low and similar (ranging between -18 and - 19*C) in all species. In contrast, significant interspecific differences were found in the level of HCT. The results are discussed in the light of relationship between thermal biology of sea skaters and their distribution in the tropical Pacific ocean.
