In recent years many articles focused on brominated flame retardants and their toxicological effects. Some of these flame retardants have been voluntary withdrawn or banned from use. Due to this, many new and alternative flame retardants have been introduced to the market. None of them, however, have been completely tested for endocrine activities. In this paper we used two recombinant yeast assays to investigate endocrine activities of certain new brominated flame retardants
