We confirmed that the concentration of FF proteins and sugar depended on the maturation level of the follicle. We found differences mainly in some proteins and glycoprotein saccharide structures between FF of distinct mammalian species. However, no differences in FF components were found between mature and non-mature follicles. Similarly, activity of proteases and hyaluronidases in FF from pig and cows were only interspecies varied, not dependent on the follicular maturation. At determination of specific activity of glycosidases we found increasing activity of species-specify glycosidases during their follicular maturation. These higher activities could correlate and participate on sperm release from the oviductal reservoir immediately after oocyte ovulation in specific mammalian species.
