We studied the activity of the cataclysmic variable (CV) V795 Her using our robotic CCD telescope with the D 50 cm mirror. We showed how the tidal force is important in affecting the thermal-viscous instability of the accretion disk. We show that flickering is produced in the places in the disk most affected by the tidal force. The tidal heating like the one operating in V795 Her can also help to keep the accretion disks in some other CVs (permanent superhumpers) in the hot, luminous state.
