Mitochondria are at the boundary between chemical-genetic and physical processes of biological activity. Mitochondrial dysfunction in glycolytic cancer cells results in disturbed physical processes, very likely generated electromagnetic field, with consequent cell defective behavior-local invasion and metastasis. Cancer therapeutic strategy targeting mitochondria may restore physical functions of cells and open apoptotic pathway. Dichloroacetate treatment may lead to development of new anticancer drugs
