Předneseno na: 28th International Symposium on Shock Waves, Manchester, GB, 17.07.-22.07.2011,str. 839-845: Physical principles of novel type of generator of focused tandem shock waves with time delay between the first and second shock waves of 10 µs have been presented. Generator produces at the focus strong shock wave with peak positive pressure up to 80 MPa followed by tensile wave with peak negative pressure down up to -80 MPa, generating thus at the focus a large number of cavitation. Biological effects of FTSW were demonstrated in vitro on hemolysis of erythrocytes and cell viability of acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells, and on tumor growth delay experiments ex vivo and in vivo. Synergetic cytotoxicity of FTSW with Photosan on tumor growth was observed, possibly due to cavitation induced sonodynamic effect of FTSW.
