Úvodní stať seznamuje čtenáře s problematikou nedotýkatelných v Indii, s historií dalitské literatury a jejími specifikami. Kniha se zaměřuje především na hindsky a tamilsky mluvící oblasti.
The book for the first time introduces Dalit literature in the Czech language. It contains selected translations of poems, short stories and parts of novels. It also outlines history of Dalit movement as well as history of Dalit literature and describes its special features. It focuses especially on Hindi and Tamil speaking regions.
