Trojice autorek se zabývá vývojem feministického myšlení v českých zemích a v Československu od poloviny 19. do poloviny 20. století. Práce sleduje jeho projevy v kontextu evropského feministického myšlení a v jednotlivých etapách života ženy. Zvláštní pozornost věnuje problematice ženského vzdělávání, mateřství a veřejné činnosti. Práci doplňují portréty významných aktérek a aktérů příběhu českého feministického myšlení.

Three authors focus on the development of the feminist thinking in Bohemia and Czechoslovakia from the mid-19th to the mid-20th century. The monograph pinpoints its manifestations in the context of European feminist thinking and the all stages of a woman's life. Particular attention is concentrated on the issue of the female education, motherhood and social activities. The treatise includes the portraits of the protagonists of the Czech feminist movement.
