The addition of TiO2 or CeO2 into Al2O3 enhanced the catalysts’ efficiency regardless of the active phase. The redox properties, acidity and the amount of activat-ed oxygen were considered as the performance deter-mining properties in PCE oxidation and it was seen that the role of total acidity was only minor.
