This study describes the application of electrophoretic techniques as gel isoelectric focusing and sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis for characterization and differentiation of Candida parapsilosis and Candida metapsilosis as well as their biofilm-positive and biofilm-negative forms. In this study, tested yeasts were treated by 70 % (v/v) ethanol or boiling water. Obtained supernatant and extracts were analyzed by above mentioned methods.
