In this work, we employed the Classical Nucleation Theory (CNT) approach for the prediction of the homogeneous ice nucleation rate. The evaluation of the CNT formulas requires accurate thermophysical data of both supercooled water and ice, i.e. density, vapor-equilibrium pressure, specific heat capacity, latent heat of melting, and the ice-water interfacial tension. As a result, the CNT predicts the nucleation rate, the initial (critical) size of the ice particle , and the nucleation work needed to create the critical ice particle.
