Keywords : heavy metals * DGT technique * soils

The content of heavy metals in agricultural soils is gradually increasing from various processes such as utilization of fertilizers, atmospheric fall-out, etc. These metals may be transferred from soils into growing plants. Therefore, it is essential to assess the biological relevance of heavy metals in soils. Various leaching procedures are applied. The results of DGT and common leaching techniques are compared and discussed.
