The contribution present recent contributions of our institute to JET plasma tomography, to edge plasma modelling and edge plasma analyses, to development of tools for data mining and to tests of novel magnetic diagnostics based on Hall sensors. The planned participation in the forthcoming JET campaigns with the ITER-like wall is detailed, as well as the increased involvement of Czech university students.
