Laboratory tests were performed in a two-phase systems mixture of transformer oil -water.The catalysis of Phase Transfer(CPT) and the Inverse Catalysis of Phase Transfer (ICPT) were used to facilitate the contact the polyhalogenated compound residing in the organic phase with the radical generated by the AOPs in the aqueous phase.Emulsification of the two-phase system with help of ultrasound or mechanical dispergation was used to accelerate the mass transfer across the interface.
