This project is based on international collaboration and will contribute significantly to the recognition and description of species diversity of all Czech fishes by using a comprehensive approach (morphology, DNA barcoding, nDNA analysis). Recent indigenous and non-indigenous species of fish and lampreys living in natural waters of CR will be the subject of inventory-taking and subsequent cataloguing. Acquired results will be used for intercontinental comparison using DNA barcode within the BoLD platform. The project will allow us to give attention to various species which have not yet been molecular objects of scientific research in CR. The study will contribute to the updating of data for Natura 2000 monitoring and will provide information and recommendations to the Agency for Nature Conservation and Landscape Protection. New design for species collections of type specimens and the development of detailed voucher will be an important contribution to national museums.
