Výsledky výzkumu Rodiče a výchova 2010 sledují odlišnosti mezi „ambiciózní“ a „statickou“ dělnickou rodinou z hlediska kulturního kapitálu (čtení knih), výchovných stylů, ve způsobu trávení volného času a účasti na organizovaných mimoškolních aktivitách. Pro statickou dělnickou rodinu je typický pasivní výchovný styl, zatímco ambiciózní rodiny se podobají rodinám vysokoškoláků: aktivní přístup rodičů k výchově, čtenářství v rodině a účast na organizovaných mimoškolních aktivitách – kroužky apod.

Results from the survey Parents and upbringing 2010 focuses on differences between “ambitious” and “static” type of working class families in terms of cultural capital (reading books), parenting styles, and leisure time and participation on extracurricular activities. “Static” type of working class families is typical of passive upbringing whereas “ambitious” type is rather similar to university educated families: active upbringing, reading and participation on extracurricular activities.
