Článek hájí tezi, že ve vysoce flektivních jazycích lze přijatelnost dvou problematických pojmů, totiž pojmu slova a pojmu fikce, objasnit na základě jednotného motivu, totiž dojmu jazykových mluvčích, že určité jednotky či celky jsou "dobře zrobeny". Povědomí o fikčnosti je ukotveno v povědomí flekční syntaxe, která díky informační redundanci staví na odiv své vnitřní vazby. Povědomí o slově jakožto obecné jednotce je ukotveno v povědomí morfologické syntaxe jakožto ukázky vzájemné slučitelnosti různých systémů odvozování.

The paper defends the view that in highly flective languages, the tendency to adopt two problematical concepts -- the concept of a word and the concept of fiction -- can be both explained with the use of a single notion: the impression of speakers that certain units or wholes are "well wrought". The awareness of fictionality is anchored in an awareness of the flective syntax which, due to its informational redundancy, exhibits its inner mutual connections. An awareness of the word, as a general unit, is anchored in an awareness of morphological syntax as representative of the mutual connectibility of various derivative systems.
