Using the measures of income inequalities (the GINI coefficient, the 90:10 income percentile), this article evaluates wage inequalities in 26 European countries in 2007. Moreover, it explains these inequalities and differences among countries by examining the distribution of inequalities among different categories of workers (by sex and by the highest attained level of education). The source of data for this study is the European Union Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC) database for 2007.

Použitím různých měr nerovnosti (GINI koeficient, poměrový koeficient 90. a 10. příjmového percentilu) článek vyhodnocuje mzdové nerovnosti v 26 zemích Evropské unie v roce 2007. Navíc, vysvětluje hodnoty těchto nerovností a rozdíly mezi jednotlivými zeměmi pomocí distribuce nerovnosti v několika skupinách pracujících (podle pohlaví a nejvyššího dosaženého vzdělání). Zdrojem dat pro tuto studii je databáze Výběrového šetření příjmů a životních podmínek domácností [EU-SILC] za rok 2007.
