The molecule-based materials have a large potential for electronic applications [1,2]. These materials have been promising candidates in the fields of conducting or semiconducting organic polymers [3] or extended coordination compounds [4]. Transition-metal compounds have found applications as sensitizers of solar-energy conversion, phosphorescent dyes for display applications (organic light-emitting diodes, OLED), luminescence-based sensors, active components of electron- or energy- transfer assemblies, molecular devices (moletronics), non-linear optical materials, active laser media, photoinitiators, triggers of electron transfer in biomolecules or protein folding, photocatalysts, etc.
