Ph.D. Workshop je rozdělen do dvou hlavních odborných sekcí. Jednání sekce Geografie se koná v Brně, jednání sekce Geologie, geotechnika, geomechanika, geofyzika, materiálový výzkum a modelování se koná v Ostravě. Cílem workshopu je setkání doktorandů, jejich školitelů, konzultantů a dalších kolegů z Ústavu geoniky a spolupracujících univerzit. Pro začínající vědce - studenty doktorského studia - je woprkshop příležitostí prezentovat výsledky své práce před vědeckým publikem a diskutovat o řešených problémech jak se svými kolegy doktorandy, tak se zkušenými vědeckými pracovníky.

Ph.D. Workshop is divided into two specialized sections. Geography section meeting will be held in Brno, section meetings called Geology, geotechnics, geomechanics, geophysics, materials science and modeling will take place in Ostrava. The workshop is a meeting of doctoral students, their trainers, consultants and other colleagues from the Institute of Geonics and cooperating universities. For beginning researchers - PhD students - the workshop represents an opportunity to present their work in front of the scientific audience and to discuss the problems solved among the doctoral students and colleagues, and with experienced researchers.
