The collective monograph centers around the coronation of the emperor Charles VI and his wife Elisabeth Christine celebrated in Prague in 1723. It describes the preparations for and the course of this very important social event and its political and symbolical context. This topic was approached very progressivelly and encompassingly; it touches on this Baroque festivity from the various points of view of other disciplines, such as history, art history, music and theatre.
