The article is focused on the oeuvre of the Bolognese quadratura painter Giuseppe Bragali. This painter was active in Heidelberg (chateau of the Count Palatine), in Olomouc (bishops´ residence, church of the Praemonstratensians, chaple of the Augustinian Canons) and on different places in Bohemia (chateau Děčín, Waldstein Palace, chateau Neufalkenburg). Outside Italy, Bragalli was one of the protagonists of the Bolognese school of fresco painting and of the new type of the painterly decoration of both sacral and profane interiors.
