An overview of the most important experimental techniques in gas dynamics which are mainly used in Laboratory of Internal Flow IT CAS in Nový Knín based on various pneumatic, optical and visualization methods. This overview is folowed by a discussion of special topics related to practical application. In particular: flow in axial and radial turbine cascades, unsteady flow in cascades, flow in minichannels, unsteady flow around a vibrating profile and flow in regulating valves.
