    Among diverse nucleoside phosphonic acids, the acyclic phosphonate derivatives have been earlier shown to involve some exceptionally potent antiviral drugs (e.g., Cidofovir, Adefovir, and Tenofovir). This work presents the synthesis of such acyclic phosphonate nucleotides conformationally locked via pyrrolidine ring.
