    In this paper, the dispersion of B-spline based finite element is determined for a one-dimensional elastic wave propagation problem. Numerical parameters of B-spline representation (spline degree, parameterization, etc.) is tested to show their good dispersion and attenuation. B-splines basis functions as shape functions have a potential for using in high performance and accurate finite element analysis of elastic wave propagation problems.
