Perlorodka říční (Margaritifera margaritifera) patří v ČR k nejohroženějším mlžům. V rámci Záchranného programu proběhl i výzkum genetické diverzity českých populací perlorodek, který odhalil významné rozdíly mezi populacemi z jižních a západních Čech.
The freshwater pearl mussel (Margaritifera margaritifera) is one of the most endangered molluscs in the Czech Republic. Following the Action Plans for Endangered Species we performed an analysis of the genetic diversity of Czech freshwater pearl mussel populations, which revealed significant genetic differences between populations from western and southern Bohemia.
