In this paper we discuss recent developments advancing capabilities of SPR imaging method. We demonstrate that these approaches enable construction of SPR imaging platforms with for heterogeneous protein arrays and complex samples. We combine the sensor with high-density array of sensing and referencing biomolecular coatings. Applications of this biosensing platform for detection of short oligonucleotides and proteins in blood plasma are also reported.
