There has been written on the need to genderize welfare regimes and the importance of historical developments in influencing welfare policies and cultures of care; yet little has been written about the influence of historical institutional developments on the manner in which welfare policies influence gender roles. We encouraged papers that synthesize feminist and historical-institutional approaches in analyzing impact of welfare policies on transformation/reproduction of gender regimes.
