Different types of plasma torches are used as plasma generators for plasma aid gasification of biomass, which mostly works on air or different mixtures of gases. The present paper describes properties of the DC arc plasma torch with hybrid gas-water stabilization used for gasification. The work is aimed to describe effect of the plasma torch parameters and arc chamber geometry on properties of the generated plasma. Knowledge of these properties will facilitate control of the gasification process resulting in its higher reliability and efficiency.
