The expanzive species of cyanobacteria and microscopic algae are important in freshwater and terrestrial ecosystems. The expanzive and invazive species can play important ecological role in our eutrophized ecosystems. In the article are reviewed the main species, which occured in the area of the Czech Republic in recent years and which developed in our ecosystems in the unusuall quantity. In the elaboration are data about their distribution, expansion and about ecological consequences.
