The synthesis and properties of polyaniline are considered. The mechanism of molecular synthesis and of self-assembly of macromolecules taking place during the polymerization are discussed. The effect of acidity of reaction medium on the character of the aniline oxidation leading to globules, nanofibres, nanotubes or microspheres has been demonstrated.
