The north-western part of the Slavkovský les Forest is characterized by highland topography consisting of wide valleys with wetlands, flat ridges and even markedly elevated structural ridges. Locally, the relief was, with respect to occurrence of mineral sources (Sn-W ores, uranium), settlement character and specific social development after the Second World War, changed by many economic activities generating mutually superposing or complementing anthropogenic forms and structures. The geomorphological field research of the surroundings of the Cultural Technical Monument Jeroným Mine in Čistá town (the abandoned destroyed village) and the analysis of historic sources allowed to determine historic evolution of basic activities and genetic types of the anthropogenic relief: mining, water management and supply, agricultural and especially military forms originated in connection to building-up the Military area Prameny, which has a crucial impact on the landscape.
