The paper presents characteristics and use of construction nano materials namely in the field of architecture and art conservation. It highlights advantages of such materials for safeguarding cultural heritage and gives numerous examples. Special attention is devoted to a combined nano and micro approach. It demonstrates consolidation results, re-alkalization and further effects.
