Electrical oscillations of the yeast cell membrane in the frequency range 0.4-1.6 kHz were measured. Synchronized cells in the M-phase generate greater power than the non-synchronized cells. The results correspond to Pohl’s dielectrophoretic measurements and support Fröhlich’s hypothesis of endogenous electromagnetic fields in living cells.
