The Cambridge Structure Database (CSD) of organic and organometalic compounds maintained by the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC) has frequent applications in structure biology. Namely, it is a principal source of high precision templates for structure studies of bio-macromolecules. The related software (Superstar, Relibase, Gold) distributed by the CCDC is of great help in protein structure determination and in an analysis of data deposited in the Protein Data Bank (PDB).
