Electrochemical DNA chips constitute a compact device with good cost performance. Principles and ways have been shown how direct electrical reading of NA interactions is promising for development of simple and user-friendly NA sensing devices. Their critical evaluation is presented together with a comparison to other procedures of electrochemical NA biosensing.
