Presented work applied 27Al MAS-NMR studies on historical mortars from Czech Republic, collected from historical monuments built in 11th – 12th century. The results and conclusion could serve as an orientation in mortars composition when calcium carbonates are in admixture with fired clays or crushed ceramics.
