    The contribution examins the phenomenon that commonly occures in three monotheistic religions – Judaism, Chriastianity and Islam. This phenomenon has been in Islam known under the term of Hijra. The author refers to the particular understanding of this term among the ideologues of the Bedouin reformist movement of Ikhwan in the territory of Saudi Arabia
