The paper concers the path to Buddhahood. But despite the complexity of the various presentations, altruism is in every case the fundamental characteristic of the path of the bodhisattva toward Buddhahood, for in every case, one strives to attain full and perfect awakening not just for one’s own sake, but for the sake of all.
