    Persimmon bark borer (Euzophera batangensis) is a principal insect pest in jujube (Ziziphus jujuba) orchards in China. The sexual behaviour of the species was observed and studies in laboratory and field conditions. The species mating occurred mainly during late night and early morning. Gas chromatography coupled with electroantennography (GC-EAD) detected response to two different compounds in female sex pheromone gland extract.
