The very most rock bursts in OKR connected to the seam 37, the member of the lower part of Sedlove beds. It is perhaps due to specific geological properties of rock mass (lithological properties and structural pattern) in this part of carboniferous deposit and due to unfavourable mining conditions. The experiences with the excavation of the seam 37 in the floe No 4, Jan Karel mine are described in this contribution. The strategy of exploitation of that seam are here commented and the special tactic measures against rock bursts applied are presented. This measures caused consequently relatively safe excavation of the seam 37 in this part of the coal mine.
