The objective of investigation was to compare behavior of four hyper accumulating plants and four willow clones for their ability to accumulate Cd and Zn in the above ground biomass. Hyperaccumulators were tested at extremely contaminated Fluvisol and willows at medium contaminated Cambisol. Identical soil was used for pots as well for field experiments. Hyperaccumulators did not show consistent results between pots and field in the case of Cd. Zn accumulation was similar at both conditions and depended more on plant species. Cd accumulation by willow was similar under both environments and Zn accumulation was significantly higher in field than in pots, probably due to limited volume of soil.

Cílem výzkumu bylo porovnat chování čtyř hyper akumulačních rostlin a čtyř klonů vrby vzhledem k jejich schopnosti akumulovat Cd a Zn v nadzemní biomase. Hyperakumulátory byly testovány ve vysoce kontaminovaném Fluvisolu a vrby ve středně kontaminovaném Cambisolu. Identická půda byla použita pro experimenty v nádobách a polních podmínkách. Hyperakumulátory nedávali konsistenmtní výsledky v nádobách a polních experimentech pro kadmium. Akumulace zinku byla podobná v obou typech experimentu a závisela více na druhu rostliny. Akumulace Cd vrbami byla podobná v nádobách i v polních podmínkách a Zn se akumulovalo lépe v poli nežli v nádobě, patrně kvůli ometenému množství zeminy v nádobě.
