The work focuses on investigation of Ni, Mo and NiMo sulfided catalysts in conversion of triglycerides to hydrocarbons. Their activity decreased in the order NiMo/Al2O3 > Mo/Al2O3 > Ni/Al2O3. NiMo catalysts were the most selective to hydrocarbons. Apart from oxygenated intermediates, NiMo/Al2O3 yielded hydrocarbons via decarboxylation and hydrodeoxygenation while Ni/Al2O3 yielded hydrocarbons via decarboxylation and Mo/Al2O3 yielded hydrocarbons via hydrodeoxygenation.
