The molecular Biological and computational approaches suggest that the mutant p53 proteins bind selectively non-B DNA structures not only in vitro but also with functional consequences in vivo. To study the specific gene regulation two glioblastoma cell lines were used (U251 and Onda11). Computational tools were developed, too, to predict formation of triplex and cruciform structures.
Molekulárně biologický a počítačový přístup naznačují, že mutované p53 proteiny se váží selektivně na non-B DNA struktury nejen in vitro, ale také in vivo, včetně funkčních důsledků. Ke studiu specifické regulace genů byly použity dvě buněčné linie glioblastomu (U251 a Onda11). Také byly vyvinuty počítačové postupy k předpovědi tvorby triplexových a kruciform struktur.
