Neobvyklé patenty byly vydány za dob Marie Terezie a Josefa II,např. zákaz stavění betlému v kostelích a příbytcích, zdůvodňovaný odkazem na pověrčivost lidu a dětinskost. Dále patent zavazující poddané odvádět vrabčí hlavy, a kuriózní patent zakazující zvonění na mraky.
In the age of Maria Theresa and Joseph II, unusual letter patents were issued – e.g. the prohibition of building nativity scenes in churches and dwellings justified by superstitiousness and infantility of people. Other peculiar patents included the subjects´duty to return heads of sparrows or the prohibition of cloud chiming.
