The distribution of soil types in the southwestern part of Prague is governed by the topographic position and geomorphic surfaces. Mineralogical composition of soils is influenced by the parent material and the type of specific pedogenic processes. Humification is present in all soils. Specific pedogenic process of transformation of soil material in situ with desilication and formation of clays is present only in Ferralic Cambisol.
