Casein kinases 1 (CK1) epsilon and delta mutations have dramatic effect on circadian clock period. We have previously shown, that pan-CK1delta/epsilon inhibitor causes a delay in animal models of circadian rhythm, however it remains unclear, whether one of the kinases has predominant role. Here we have used novel selective CK1 epsilon inhibitor to show that wild-type CK1 epsilonhas only minimal effect on circadian clock relative to CK1 delta
