The on-line HM database is a newly developed computer based system for collection, archivation and comparison of material properties of historic mortars. The database is user-oriented allowing addition and management of the user’s own data, as well as, using the data of the other registered users according to the set access privileges. It is designed for international collaboration and sharing knowledge among professionals and researchers involved in the field of historic material characterisation and testing. The structure of the database, the relevant parameters and methods of their determination included in the database were selected based on the state-of-the-art knowledge in the historic mortars characterisation and experience with application of the analytical data in research and practical conservation of historic buildings.

Databáze HM, přístupná on-line, je nově vyvinutý systém pro sběr, archivaci a porovnání materiálových vlastností historických malt. Databáze je uživatelsky orientována a umožňuje uživatelům přidávání a zprávu vlastních dat stejně jako využití dat ostatních registrovaných uživatelů dle nastavených přístupových práv. Databáze je navržena pro mezinárodní spolupráci a sdílení znalostí mezi odborníky a výzkumníky pracujícími v oblasti charakterizování a zkoušení historických materiálů. Struktura databáze, relevantní parametry a metody jejich určování zahrnuté v databázi byly vybrány na základě nejmodernějších znalostí v oblasti charakterizování historických malt a zkušeností s použitím analytických dat ve výzkumu a v praxi při restaurování historických budov.
